Mr S lived in London, and when his daughter was told he was at the end of his life, she asked him if he would like to end his days at her house with his family around him. Although he was very ill, he was very keen on this idea and moved back to the family home.
We planned 24/7 end-of-life care for him but unfortunately, he had to be admitted to hospital after only a few days. He was, however, able to return to the family home as was his and his daughter’s last wish. He passed away peacefully with his loved ones around him. Our carers stayed with the family for a few days afterward offering sympathy and practical help.
