Our emphasis is on maintaining family values which is deeply reflected in the quality of the care provided. Read some of our case studies that demonstrate how our carers look after our clients.

🦽 Supporting Independent Living - Mrs T

At Primary Homecare, we work with adults of all ages who need help to remain as independent as possible in their own homes and to give them support on an individual basis to continue to be valued, contributing members of society.

We currently work with an extremely intelligent young lady who is confined to a wheelchair. We support her to live independently by helping her with personal care, so that she can get ready for work on time.

We also help by preparing meals and undertaking household tasks to give her the time to do what she enjoys in life. Although she has an excellent supportive family, she does not want to rely on them all of the time and this, for her, is an ideal situation. She is very much in control and we are there to support and enable her to live independently.

❤️‍🩹 End of Life - Mr S

Mr S lived in London, and when his daughter was told he was at the end of his life, she asked him if he would like to end his days at her house with his family around him. Although he was very ill, he was very keen on this idea and moved back to the family home.

We planned 24/7 end-of-life care for him but unfortunately, he had to be admitted to hospital after only a few days. He was, however, able to return to the family home as was his and his daughter’s last wish. He passed away peacefully with his loved ones around him. Our carers stayed with the family for a few days afterward offering sympathy and practical help.

Our care extends to family members, especially during very difficult times.

🌹 Rememberance Day - Mr P

Mr. P wanted to celebrate Remembrance Day in November 2020. Our Carers helped to get him dressed up, with his medals pinned proudly on his chest. He then went outside to see that they had hung Union Jack bunting out to celebrate the occasion. He held his head very high and marched forward to meet his family to show them how he remembered lost comrades.

Our staff go that extra mile to make sure we accommodate our clients’ wishes. What is important to them is essential to us.

🥧 Sunday Lunch - Mr D

Mr. D had always treated himself to a Sunday Lunch. When he eventually could not get out for this treat any longer, our carers suggested that they could pick up a takeaway for him. They were able to find a local Pub that supplied ‘Take Away Roast Dinners’ and they tried it out. He was so pleased, and they are now collecting a roast dinner for him every Sunday.

We recognise that it is very important to keep things as normal as possible for our clients. Just because they may need a bit more support doesn’t mean they have to give anything up.

🎄 Christmas Lights - Mr W

Mr. W really wanted to see the Christmas lights and decorations around his village, but he hadn’t left his home for years. Our Carers were able to dress him in warm clothes and get him into his wheelchair. Just as it was getting dark, they took him out for a walk around his village. Mr. W ‘s face lit up when he saw how much effort his neighbours had put into decorating the village and their individual houses. His face was brighter than all the twinkling lights and he was smiling the whole time.

He talked about the walk for days to come telling all his carers how much he enjoyed it. We made his wish come true. To see our clients happy puts a smile on our faces too!
